Toward a Synthetic Life
The past few decades have brought upon this great nation an eerie, almost artificial society that bears little resemblance to the principles which formed this republic. We have reverted back to being serfs of the kingdom, slaves of the state. We have unlearned how to think for ourselves. We cannot define individual liberty and freedom. We are cowards, afraid to speak the truth as we see it fearing that we will be labeled a fanatic, an extremist, or even a racist. We have caved in to the bullying tactics of the far left. This tactic does not go unnoticed in our schools. Our children learn that you can indeed win by intimidation. We have learned to accept that there is no reason to excel or even to try and do a good job. What is the point? The only reward is that you get to share the fruits of your labor with those that do not share your zeal for accomplishment. Why work for anything when you can have it now by terrorizing those that would succeed. We have grown weak in a short span of time. The once strong citizens of this country have been reduced to pathetic, pliable clay, more than willing to be molded into a look, think and act alike society. Gone are the days of colorful characters who were not afraid to speak their minds and actually had the gall to be free in thought and action. Today we cower and conform to ideas which are against our principles. Yes we all have our choirs that we relish in preaching to, but when it comes to sticking our head out in a crowd and point out the insanity of the direction in which this once great nation is headed we think twice about how our words will be interpreted. We risk having a label thrust upon us and we retreat. Our once wonderful education system, the envy of all other nations has been reduced to a factory which produces a well oiled army of robots ready to enter the work force. Recent changes in the education system have brought about 'School to Work' programs at the direction of those who would be employers. They determine what our children should learn to be able to enter the work force. It appears as though academics and imagination are of little importance anymore. What matters most is that the children are trained to become good little workers. There is no sense of accomplishment. The grades are inflated so that no one has to experience failure. It would be bad for their self esteem. No one wonders what happens to those who get 'A's and 'B's in math during high school yet can't make change for a dollar without a cash register that says how much change should be delivered. They have been given a false sense of self esteem. They figure they must be intelligent after all they got good grades in school! Yes children are being put into a box to accommodate the self serving interest of large multinational corporations and to be indoctrinated into believing that the government is our friend and savior. We have succumbed to the sirens song of a more equal, fair life. Women burned their bras and left their families in droves to seek some higher sense of satisfaction by proving they could be as dumb as the male population. They believed that there was no satisfaction to be derived from raising children. Once that mindset took over it was all too easy to convince women that children were just going to get in the way of their pursuit of a meaningful career. If one did have a child it was easier to have someone else raise the child so that she could go off to work. I thought women were smarter than this. We all thought it was a fad, but once there are two SUV's in the drive and a huge house to maintain it makes perfect sense that we should be slaves to our possessions. To make decisions easier we passed laws that brought the despicable practice of abortion from the dark, damp alleys where it at least appeared that society condemned it to where it is an honored ritual performed by women in the name of freedom of choice. Is it any wonder that kids who kill other kids do not consider it murder. Perhaps they view it as an abortion and it is their choice on whose gets life aborted. Yes, life used to mean something. There was a mystery and a sanctity about it. Now it is no more than someone's choice. We are puppets in some elitists view of how to control a society and make the people think they like it.
