Revolution

It is time to awaken the spirit of the revolution. I listen and hear the faint desperate crys of our Founding Fathers as the land of freedom that they forged with their sweat, blood and their very lives is fading fast into oblivion. Soon it will join other great empires Rome, Greece, Egypt and others as examples of what happens to societies when they veer from the principles that guided them. We have still a flickering of a chance to save this great nation and the principles for which it stands.

America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. Recently it has become the land of the oppressed and the home of cowards. I would grant you that most Americans would not

Imagine Freedom. I wonder if you can. Take a moment, find a quiet space away from the flurry of activity that has consumed America. Now imagine freedom.

This country was formed on the belief that all men are created equal, endowed by their Creator certain unalienable rights. Among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. There is also an imherent belief that people are good and therefore able to live a life of self governance. The way that I interpret this is that as a citizens of a free nation, under God, we should beable to do anything we want in the pursuit of happiness so long as it does not infringe on the right of another to do the same.

Stop and look around you. Can you say what is on your mind without being labeled a radical, a racist or in other terms an enemy of the people? Do you feel the need to hide in a dark corner for fear of retaliation from your government? Do you feel an need to make an extra effort to ensure that every detail of your life is in order just in case you have a difference of opinion with a neighbor and they turn you in to the police? Do you feel the precence of an opressive ‘Big Brother” creeping into your life?
