Rest Room Dilemma
Why do we have separate bathrooms for men and women? Seems like a stupid question to me, but, why do we? Is it because that we have two sexes and the sight of a sexual member of the opposite sex may incite excitement? Or, is it a toilet seat up or down issue? The reason I ask is I want to know where should gays and lesbians go to relieve themselves? If the reason that heterosexual men and women do not share the same public rest rooms is that they would like to do their business without the feeling of being mentally molested, what is the difference if a gay man steps up to the urinal next to you or a woman stands next to you and watches? Which do you feel more threatened by? Perhaps gay men should share the ladies room with heterosexual women and lesbians should go to the men’s room. Or maybe we should have al rest rooms combined for both men and women. Another alternative would be to invest in a third rest room specifically for gays and lesbians. This way no one would feel uncomfortable while doing their business. Or, I forgot, we also have a bisexual community.
