Oppression!

Oppression! Are you feeling it yet? It has been creeping along the ground like a vine in the jungle looking to grab on to and slowly smother anything in its path. If oppression met you face to face like a vicious cat in the wild you would immediately recognize it for the beast that it is and do everything in your power, using any means avaialable, to kill it before it devours you.

Our government is becoming each day, more and more oppressive. The power controlling the evil beast is cowardly indeed. They will not show their true colors, fore they would face an insurection of great magnitude. They must be more like the choking vine, keeping a low profile and dividing the masses into fettered denizens. They pit one group against another, promoting racism, bigotry and hatred along the way. The end game is to take away all of our precious God given rights without a fight.

The conditioning for this evil war began long ago. Television and the movie theaters have been bombarding us with visual stimulation for years. We have been presented with stories that would have shocked previous generations into taking up arms. Today we are weak as a nation. As Patrick Henry stated in his famous speech “They tell us, sir, that we are weak -- unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house?” The oppressive powers of this once great nation hide behind the skirts of mothers and exploit the their tragedy as they swirl in the depths of emotional dispair.

In a nation of free people as defined by our constitution, everyone has a right to pursue his own happiness as he sees fit so long as it does not invade another person or his property. If he does intentionally then it is a crime. If there is no criminal intent in his pursuits then it is nothing more than a vice. Some vices are fround upon by a society, prostitution, drinking, using drugs are just a few. Not so many years ago gambling used to fall into this category. The underworld made enormous profits running an illeagal numbers racket. Today we have the same thing only instead of a shady character in a dark suit slipping through the shadows, we advertisise it on television and it is run by your friendly government. Play and win the Lotto today! Gambling destroys families just as drugs and alcohol, but what’s a little vice among the masses?
