Illegal Immivasion

As we have stood by for decades trying to adhere to the rhetoric of political correctness we have been systematically invaded by an army of illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants have no intention of assimilating to our culture. If they did they would take the oath of citizenship.

Oath of Allegiance
To become a citizen, one must take the oath of allegiance. By doing so, an applicant swears to:

  • support the Constitution and obey the laws of the U.S.;
  • renounce any foreign allegiance and/or foreign title; and
  • bear arms for the Armed Forces of the U.S. or perform services for the government of the U.S. when required.

All citizens that support the American ideals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness should be appalled at the recent protests in support of illegal immigration. While all illegal immigrants are not from Mexico, they are the ones arrogantly flaunting their distain for our laws.

The recent display of anti-Americanism in Los Angeles and other areas is a slap in the face to everyone who came to America legally. Every member of the Armed Services that has fought for and even died for the cause of our nation since its conception will have died in vain if we do not rise up and protect America now.

Many of the protesters are high school students that may be just looking for an excuse to get out of school. And it is all fun and games until someone gets an eye poked out. How long before angry veterans rise up and tear down the flags of foreign countries that have replaced the Stars and Stripes in our own land?

I am still puzzled as to why the unions are not the biggest opponents of illegal immigration. After all, it is their jobs that are being lost as labor in construction and many other fields are being lost to cheap labor. Perhaps the Democrats have a bigger plan for America that includes the dismantling of our principles and need to keep the rank and file in line.

Maybe we need to circle the wagons and guard our borders with the same sense of urgency that we grounded every airplane in America immediately following the tragedy of September 11, 2001. I wish politicians would stop blowing sunshine up our collective behinds by saying we are fighting a War on Terror and need Homeland Security when our borders are being invaded.

If I come home and find my basement flooded, the first thing I am going to do is turn off the water and then assess the damage.

We do not need any more laws! What good are laws if we cannot enforce them? Enforce the immigration laws of the land now!

<rant off (for now)>

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But. this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag ... and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty, and that is a loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN
It was practically his last word to the country he had loved and served so well. That was on January 5, 1919. (The Boys' Life of Theodore Roosevelt by Hermann Hagedorn)

The making of an American begins at the point where he himself rejects all other ties, any other history, and himself adopts the vesture of his adopted land. - James Baldwin (1924-1987) African-American writer.

United States Code Title 4 Chapter 1 — The Flag
§7. Position and manner of display

c No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy. No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof: Provided, That nothing in this section shall make unlawful the continuance of the practice heretofore followed of displaying the flag of the United Nations in a position of superior prominence or honor, and other national flags in positions of equal prominence or honor, with that of the flag of the United States at the headquarters of the United Nations.

f When flags of States, cities, or localities, or pennants of societies are flown on the same halyard with the flag of the United States, the latter should always be at the peak. When the flags are flown from adjacent staffs, the flag of the United States should be hoisted first and lowered last. No such flag or pennant may be placed above the flag of the United States or to the United States flag's right.

g When flags of two or more nations are displayed, they are to be flown from separate staffs of the same height. The flags should be of approximately equal size. International usage forbids the display of the flag of one nation above that of another nation in time of peace.

Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor. a. The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
