Hackers and Terrorists

Imagine if the world went after terrorists with the same enthusiasm and effort put forth to stop computer hackers. Names like Melissa, I Love You, Code Red, Blaster, Sobig, Bagle and Sasser send chills and fear of impending doom throughout the world. These threats are taken with much more seriousness than he threat of world domination by Islamic Fascists. These computer viruses only threaten our data. Muslim extremists are devoted to killing us and wiping our society off the face of the earth, yet somehow many countries have ignored these threats.

Within days of a hacker's strike, computer networks around the world can trace the source of the virus to the originating computer. We should have the technology in place and the will to capture terrorists with the same tenacity and sense of urgency.

Look into the eyes of your children and touch the tender faces of your grand children and ask yourself if seeing their mutilated burnt bodies would be more devastating than losing your computer data files. It appears that the world takes more seriously the threat of a computer virus than total annihilation of Western civilization. Something is definitely wrong with this picture!
