Change, Change, Change
Change, Change, Change, Change of Fools! My apologies to Aretha Franklin. Everyone in this election is promoting change like some new snake oil. Change is defined as ‘to give a completely different form or appearance to; transform’ and ‘the replacing of one thing for another’. This year the choice for change lies with the American people. One philosophy is that government can solve all of our problems at the cost of much more taxes and loss of personal freedom. This is a slow, steady march towards socialism that we have been marching to for nearly a whole century. We could implement just a couple of changes that may well turn the tide and begin the country marching once again to the sovereignty and greatness. We could change course and teach our children the benefits of independence from government. Our great country has been based on the power of the individual, the brave and the free, and limited government. We could disallow any bills that include earmarks. Imagine the change that would bring about. No more special interest groups! Politicians without power! Another change would be to repeal the 16th Amendment, get rid of the immoral income tax and replace it with the Fair tax. This is a federal sales tax on new goods with a monthly rebate to low income people. Imagine, no more filling out tax forms, filing papers or fear of the government on April 15th! The rich will indeed pay their share. Change is inevitable; choose wisely.
